Prayer

This is an awesome opportunity to involve your church in prayer! Pray it will become a "House of Prayer!"

1. Arm yourself with prayer scriptures for your church, community, city, for the laborers and for the harvest. Pick a theme scripture for each phase of the program.

2. Gather a team of people to pray together specifically for direction and vision. Meet weekly to pray for specific needs and events.

3. Develop a calendar of prayer events for your church. Spotlight the following:

Prayerwalking* - A Luke 10 morning when members walk 2 by 2

Lighthouse strategy* - Join the movement to light the national with prayer

Fasting* - A powerful tool too rarely used

24-hour prayer - Prayer for laborers and the harvest

The Harvest Video* - The fields are white!

The Transformation Video* - God’s transforming power in answer to prayer in 4 cities

4. Utilize a Sunday bulletin insert for prayer needs, status of project, notice of church and city-wide events

5. Use the Fresh Breath of Prayer designed for use with JVPTX*

6. Use Seek God for the City 2003. Excellent guide for prayers, prayerwalking, lighthouses*

7. Contact PrayUSA ! for their 40-day prayer calendar*

8. Join with prayer coordinators of other participating churches to pray for the city. Network to make John 17 a reality!

9. Work with your church JESUS Video Project coordinator to provide prayer coverage for every step of the project. Arrange on-site prayer coverage for such events as the showing of the JESUS video to your congregation.

10. Mobilize your students to prayerwalk their campus.
