FAQ

Probably the number one question . . . When will the DVD's be mailed?

Our calendared plans are for 2007.

Is your church signed-up and involved? Are you encouraging others in your community to get involved? Are you doing everything you can to prepare your church and assisting financially? The delay could be you!

Why continue the distribution of the JESUS Film? Many churches all over the state have been involved already.

Yes, over two million videos have been distributed, but over six million homes remain without JESUS.  We have yet to find a more effective use of funds for sharing the Gospel.

Why not spend the money on efforts outside the U.S.?

A portion of the funds do go to reaching people outside the U.S. Also, if Texas were a nation, it would be the tenth richest nation in the world. As more people become Christians, more resources will be available (people = missionaries, more people to give) so more nations will be reached. (Over half of the worlds’ wealth is found in the U.S.)

Why shouldn’t I encourage my own church to do a distribution of their own at this time?

We are able to distribute a DVD with the church’s financial participation for approximately $3.50 or less per DVD, which includes the cost of postage, advertising, telephone response line and computer-based response system. It would cost a church over $5.00 per DVD just to purchase- not including postage and mailing lists. Our JESUS Texas effort is very cost effective and allows the churches to concentrate on follow-up and discipleship.

Are gifts tax-deductible?

Yes. JESUS Texas is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. .

How much money has been raised or committed?

The JESUS Texas committee will be updating the progress periodically, but the more spiritual challenge could be "how much has the Lord impressed upon your heart to give?" This is a common human question but "faith" and "prayer" is the answer. There are commitment deadlines that need to be shared and that is the immediate concern, not "how much, already!"
